At its Peak

€500.00

I painted this strawberry because it represents a very narrow state. Freshness exists only for a moment. Right after that, it starts to fade. That fragile edge was what interested me.

This was not about sweetness or nostalgia. It was about presence. About close observation. About the tension between perfection and impermanence. The surface appears flawless, almost excessive—and that is exactly what makes it vulnerable.

I know this feeling well: when something is at its peak and you already sense it won’t last. Instead of trying to hold on, I chose to acknowledge it. Calmly. Without drama.

For me, this work is an exercise in acceptance. Things don’t need to last to have value. Sometimes it’s enough to truly see them—while they are still there.
