Banana Yoga

I painted this banana because it felt unexpectedly human. Once opened, it becomes exposed and vulnerable, but at the same time full of presence. There’s a quiet confidence in that.

For me, the work touches on openness. The moments when we stop holding everything together and simply allow ourselves to be seen. The dark background leaves space around it, making that feeling stronger.

This painting is about vulnerability without weakness. About showing what is usually hidden—and finding strength exactly there. Sometimes the most honest presence is also the most memorable one.
