Big Belly Vessel

This work was born from a fascination with fullness — not in the material sense, but as an inner state. The glass carafe, round and weighty, feels like a vessel holding more than what’s visible: time, light, memory. The surrounding fruits — lemon, mandarin, small berries — echo that thought. Everything appears calm, yet quietly alive, as if the scene itself were breathing. For me, this painting balances abundance and control, the pleasure of detail with the discipline of form. The dark background gathers the light, focusing it on what truly matters.
