Blackcurrants

Acrylic painting

€900.00

For me, this painting is an attempt to make essence visible. The branch with black currants, floating in an undefined space, represents vitality and abundance – yet also the fleeting, which resists being fixed. The glossy berries feel tangible and real, but at the same time distant, like thoughts or memories without a permanent place. The ochre background with its darker rectangles provides a subtle counterweight: structures that suggest hidden layers beyond the obvious, invisible yet present. To me, the work is about reduction to what truly matters – a deliberate absence that sharpens perception. For the viewer, it may offer a moment to pause and reflect on what remains essential in life once all distractions fade away.
