Brilliant Society

This painting began without a plan—only with the wish to see stillness and difference side by side. Three vessels, each with its own character: the pale jug, open and calm; the white creamer, animated by a leaf and a branch; the dark bottle, closed and deep. In front of them, citrus fruits glow like voices in quiet conversation. The black cloth binds them together, a subtle order holding the contrasts in place. To me, Brilliant Society is a portrait of belonging without sameness—a quiet reflection on how harmony grows not from uniformity, but from mutual recognition. It carries something deeply human: the longing to be seen, yet still to belong.
