Clarity and Freshness

The glass bowl holds more than fruit. It holds a kind of proposition — that beauty requires no explanation, that clarity is itself a form of generosity.

The lemons carry their light from within. Against the void they don't glow; they simply are — whole, unhurried, indifferent to being seen. The red berries scatter with the same ease, neither arranged nor accidental. The branch reaches leftward as if the composition hasn't quite decided where to end. That unresolved edge is where the painting breathes.

What stays in the mind is not the abundance but the restraint. One empty half of the bowl. Reflection without source. A surface that gives back more color than it receives.
