Berries, Oranges and Water Jug

At first glance, this still life seems quiet and balanced. But beneath that calm surface, there is a subtle tension. The elements are close to one another, yet each seems to keep its own space. This is how human relationships can feel, too: we seek closeness, while still needing distance and a sense of self.

For me, the empty spaces are as important as the objects themselves. They create pauses, hesitation and room for reflection. Nothing is forced together. The arrangement suggests that connection does not require constant proximity. Sometimes it is precisely the space between things that allows a relationship to exist.
