Held by Grace

I painted this pear because I have always been fascinated by quiet strength. Not the kind that demands attention, but the kind that simply endures. A pear carries its own weight without resistance. It grows slowly, accepts every season, and reaches maturity without competing with anything around it.

The droplets are not just traces of water. To me, they represent the experiences we collect over time. Some become burdens, others become reminders that we have survived difficult moments. They do not diminish our value. They reveal it.

I wanted to reduce this painting to the essentials because I believe that meaning often appears when distraction disappears. Perhaps this work is a reminder that fulfillment is not found in becoming more, but in accepting who we already are. Quiet confidence rarely asks to be seen, yet it is often the quality that stays with us the longest.
