Plums and Leaf

€500.00

There's a moment just before you pick a plum when everything feels exactly right. The fruit is heavy, the skin is cool, and nothing is rushing anywhere.

That's what I wanted to capture.

Three plums on a branch, one leaf, water still sitting on the skin. The black surface underneath mirrors them back — like a quiet echo of what's above.

I've always been drawn to things at their peak. Not the dramatic peak, the loud one, but the still, almost-missed kind. Plums have that quality. Their color sits somewhere between blue and violet, and there's something a little melancholy about it, in the best way.

The water drops matter to me. They're proof that time is passing, slowly, but passing. A reminder that what's perfect right now won't be perfect forever. Which is, I think, exactly why it's worth paying attention to.

If this painting stops you for a moment, maybe that's why.
