Royal Apple

€500.00

This painting is about restraint and presence. One apple. No excess. I was interested in how little it takes to create authority. The fruit is untouched, calm, self-contained. The white cloth lifts it, almost ceremonially, while the black background removes all distraction. Nothing competes for attention.

For me, the apple stands for quiet confidence. Not loud luxury. Not decoration. Just substance. It doesn’t need context to justify itself. It simply is. That attitude is what I wanted to capture: clarity, control, and a sense of inner order.

Collectors who respond to this work usually value reduction. They don’t look for narrative overload or symbolism explained to death. They recognize the tension between softness and structure, between vulnerability and strength. This painting rewards slow looking. It holds its ground without asking for permission.
