My work is built around restraint.

I am interested in moments where nothing happens on the surface, yet everything is held in tension. Control is present, but never absolute. Calm exists, but it is never empty.

I work with reduced compositions to sharpen attention. Every element has a reason to be there. Every decision is deliberate. In pastel especially, there is no casual correction. Each mark is final. That irreversibility shapes the character of the work.

These pieces are not meant to illustrate ideas or tell stories. They are meant to hold a state. A pause. A contained pressure. Something that remains unresolved.
